Originally from the Boston area, this Lippy Lady is currently a freshman at Bryn Mawr College. She is aspiring to be a professional actress, primarily in theater, and is also interested in working with non-profits, youth, education, etc. But until then, she’ll be doing her best to get herself out there, mixing her passion for performance with her passion for social justice issues.
Recently, Jessica played a core role in People IN Color’s original production of Goddamn Bell!, as well as in R.A.W. by Diana Son in Bryn Mawr College’s 2008 Asian Culture Show: the CelebrAsian of Asian American Women.
In high school, she was twice a Massachusetts State Finalist in the National Shakespeare Competition and the National Poetry Out Loud Competition, placing 3rd in the state her sophomore year. She’s participated in programs with the North Shore Music Theater and Actor’s Shakespeare Project. One of her favorite high school roles was Heidi in Secret in the Wings by Mary Zimmerman, which won her an Actor’s Award in the Massachusetts High School Drama Festival.
